Back Shed at Furnace Town
8×10 varnished painting in chevron wood frame. Completed en Plein Air at the Furnace Town Renaissance Faire in Snow Hill, MD. After a long weekend of volunteering at the faire, I finally got to set up behind the print shop and paint the evening sun filter through the loblolly pines. The blacksmith’s tent is still set up in the background, with reenactors swordfighting out of sight.
For my sister, Emril, the event organizer, who was told the setting wasn’t any good for plein air.
